A table, stacked to its limits, full of every kind of treat imaginable. The first thing that popped out to me was the chocolates, but I was allergic to them, so I could not try them. Nevertheless, the rest of the candies and snacks were delicious. I especially enjoyed the puffy chips that looked like Pirate’s Booty chips, but were sweet instead of savory. They tasted almost like cotton candy. We also tried two types of hard candies, a pear-based candy and a Barberry candy. The pear one tastes very similar to candies my mom likes to buy. I’ve never tried Barberry candies, but the flavor was not very foreign. The barberry flavoring tasted rather like a mixture between the cherry and grape flavors in many American candies, and I really liked it. The only thing that I did not really enjoy was a breadstick in the shape of a circle. We had it store bought and much softer than normal, as in Russian culture, these breadsticks were hard as rock and had to be dunked into hot tea before eating. Despite its much softer nature than tradition, the breadstick was very hard and I struggled to bite into it. It tasted just like normal bread. Maybe next time I will try dunking it into tea to see what it would taste like.

Overall, the sweets were great. I would definitely recommend the sweet puffy chips and the Barberry candies.
