Shoti Puri is a traditional Georgian bread. It’s cooked in a circular clay oven called a tone and is stretched to be a baton-like shape. When we went to Brighton Beach, we had some of this bread at Berikoni Georgian Bakery. The bread is quite flat and has a crispy outer crust. The inside is chewy and is deliciously salty. The bottom of the bread that was touching the oven is nice and crunchy without being tough. Its texture makes the contrast between the inside of the bread and the crust of the bread really noticeable and makes it so that you don’t get tired of every bite. I wish I bought some for my parents. Yum. Definitely a 9.5/10 🙂
