The Forward Building in New York City used to be a Jewish newspaper, one of the first of its kind, and was established by European Jewish immigrants settling in the area. The Forward newspapers were written in Yiddish, a language in mixture of Hebrew and German, and was printed in hundreds of thousands daily. The Forward’s target audience used to be Jewish Americans, however it’s now forwarded to all people and written in English. Instead of printing stories daily, the Forward has regressed down to one or two stories a week, but the building has remained its same self since 1912.
