This data shows how many Ukrainian refugees are in countries that are featured in the Refugee Response Plan and how many Ukrainian refugees applied for asylum, TP or similar national protection schemes, in those countries. The blue columns in the graph represent the refugees from Ukraine recorded in a country as of today while the orange columns represent the refugees from Ukraine who applied for asylum, TP or similar national protection schemes. The reason that some of the orange columns are taller than the blue ones is because, as I learned during this course, there are many refugees that apply for refugee status but they end up having to wait many years for their case to finally be looked at and to be finally given that refugee status. For that reason, the blue column is sometimes shorter because they are refugees that have already been given that refugee status, while the orange ones are still waiting to finally get that refugee status.
