Despite their losing record, the team was extremely successful at the District Tournament. They were the champions of District Three, with the \u00e9p\u00e9e squad winning first place and the foil squad coming in second. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">By coming in first at Districts, the girls\u2019 fencing team qualified for the Sweet Sixteen Tournament. They made it to the top eight after beating Millburn and losing to Columbia. However, the girls\u2019 \u00e9p\u00e9e and foil squads have yet to compete in the upcoming Squad States. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Captain Jessica Li (VI) said, \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I&#8217;m proud of our team for a great season and especially for coming together so quickly despite being a fairly young team.\u201d She continued, \u201cWe had a wonderful performance at Districts.
